Glenn Maxwell joins Hyderabad Houstons for a Record Fee in PSL 11!

Star Australian batter Glenn Maxwell has expressed his excitement after joining Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.

The right-handed player expressed his excitement about participating in the PSL and the opportunity to represent Hyderabad.

“I’m incredibly excited to be playing in the Pakistan Super League and representing Hyderabad. It’s an honor to wear the team’s jersey, and I’ve always received so much love and support from Pakistan, which makes this experience even more special,” he explained.

“I’m looking forward to the season and can’t wait to get started. See you all in the PSL,” he added.

It’s worth noting that Glenn Maxwell has played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) every season since his debut in 2012, appearing in 141 games for four different teams.

Earlier this year, Maxwell announced that he would not be participating in the IPL.

“After many unforgettable seasons in the IPL, I have decided not to bid for the auction this year. This is a big decision, and I make it with immense gratitude for everything this league has given me,” Maxwell wrote in his Instagram post.

The explosive hitter will join the roster alongside his fellow countryman Marnus Labuschagne, who was also signed directly for the tournament.

For those unfamiliar: The Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen secured their place in the PSL after being acquired by Fawad Sarwar’s Kingsmen Group, which purchased the franchise rights with a bid of 1.75 billion rupees (approximately $6.25 million).
