Hyderabad Houston Acquire Marnus Labuschagne as a direct signing!
Australian top batsman Marnus Labuschagne expressed his excitement ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.
Marnus, 31, has been signed directly by the Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen for the tournament’s historic season.
Labuschagne shared a video message, expressing his joy at being part of this premier league for the first time.
“I’m thrilled to join the Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen for this PSL season,” he said.
“I want to thank the club and the fans; it’s going to be a fantastic year. I’m looking forward to being a part of it. I can’t wait to join the team,” he added.
Today, the franchise also announced the signing of Australian ace Glenn Maxwell for PSL 11.
The right-handed bowler will strengthen the squad, which also includes other prominent names, including Pakistani all-rounder Saim Ayub.
For those unaware, the Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen were acquired by Fawad Sarwar’s Kingsmen Group, which won the franchise rights with a bid worth 1.75 billion rupees (approximately $6.25 million).
On the field, the franchise has begun to build a competitive squad.
It has retained promising talents Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, and Akif Javed.
The team has also assembled an experienced coaching staff. Former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie has been appointed head coach, with Grant Bradburn set to take over as defense coach under his guidance.
The important PSL 11 season will begin on March 26, while the highly anticipated player auction will be held on February 11.
